Don't take my word for it
Posted Monday, September 26/05 in Suzukiclone info
"Transportation pods" - now there's a diplomatic (and apt) description of the Suzukiclones. Imagine my surprise to read it this weekend on the front of the Toronto Star auto section, under the title, "Five cheap used cars - good on gas," by Mark Toljagic. The car's pros and cons were briefly outlined, but most interestingly (to me anyway), the issue of durability was addressed. What was the verdict? "These cars are tougher than their size and cute faces suggest, which is a benefit from Suzuki being a long-time motorcycle maker." Cool. However, the reviewer did warn against buying the 3-cylinder model for highway driving, with "roughness" being the reason. I would have put "gutlessness" at the top of the list of potential complaints about highway performance. Anyway, it was odd to read a review of a car I just bought - and which has been out of production for 5 years - from a source that I regularly follow. You can read the whole article here. Free registration required, or bugmenot.com. (I don't know how long the Star link will be valid, so I'll post the relevant bits if it becomes unavailable.)
